Component Based Software Engineering 2021/2022

Grading Policy

There is a written exam at the end of the semester.

The final mark is calculated as the average between the written exam and the activity during the semester (the lab assignments mark) but only if both marks are at least 5. Having a mark smaller than 5 at any of these parts leads to failing the final exam.

The lab assignments mark results as the sum of the lab points collected by completing (correctly and in time) some of the given assignments. The start is equivalent with 4 points. Thus you need to complete 1 lab point for passing the lab with the minumum mark but you need to complete 6 lab points to finish the lab with the maximum mark of 10.

All assignments bring cummulative lab points (their points are added), EXCEPT assignment CBSE0. The assignment CBSE0 (writing a short essay) is the final rescue for getting the minimum passing mark and not more.

It is possible that you sum up more than 6 lab points by completing several assignments. The lab points that exceed 6 lab points are transformed into exam bonus points, 1 exceeding lab point equals 1 exam bonus point. The exam bonus points are added to the mark of the final written exam. If you sum up at least 6 bonus points, you do not have to have the written exam any more.
